2015
Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) formally recognised ELS Proficiency Standards as an alternative to IELTS & TOEFL for admission into its undergraduate & postgraduate programmes.

ELS Malaysia was awarded the prestigious 5-Star Quality Standards Award for Private Education Institutions (SKIPS).
2014
ELS Malaysia was named Brand of the Year in the English Education (Malaysia) at the 2014 World Branding Awards.
2012
ELS Malaysia established its first on-campus centre at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), a top-tier public university in Malaysia. At the same time, UPM formally recognised ELS Proficiency Standards as proof of English proficiency for admission into its undergraduate & postgraduate programmes.

ELS Language Centres, Malaysia established its first centre.
1978
A new International Division of ELS Inc. was formed to expand ELS English teaching activities overseas. ELS opened its first overseas language school in Tokyo, Japan.
