The Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia (MOHE) recognises the ELS Certified Intensive English Programme (CIEP) level standards as proof of English language proficiency for university admission. This means that students can use their ELS qualification to enter any higher education institution in Malaysia.

ELS Malaysia was conferred Top Foreign Students Destination Award & Regional Centre for the ELS Teacher Training Programme (TESOL) by ELS US.

ELS and UPM co-organised and co-sponsored the Malaysian International Conference on English Language Teaching (MICELT), attended by 550 professionals and practitioners in the English teaching industry.
