Job Summary

The position of Head of University Relations, which reports to the Director of Group Strategy & Alliances, is critical in cultivating and managing strategic partnerships with higher education institutions.  The role requires engaging with universities, introducing ELS solutions, and fostering collaborations that enrich the educational landscape and student experiences.

Job Duties

Build and Nurture Partnerships

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with higher education institutions.
  • Develop partnership strategies to enhance collaboration and mutual growth.

Present Partnership Opportunities

  • Showcase ELS Language Centres and our partnership model to potential university partners.
  • Articulate the value proposition of the ELS University Pathway programme.

Manage Existing Relationships

  • Oversee communication and engagement with all existing university partners.
  • Address partner inquiries, concerns, and needs promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborate across ELS departments to gather essential information for successful university relations. 

Plan and Facilitate Meetings

  • Plan, prepare, and coordinate meetings with university partners to discuss collaboration opportunities and progress.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather relevant information for successful university relations. 

Enhance Company Positioning

  • Research and analyse opportunities to enhance ELS's positioning with universities.
  • Propose plans and strategies to achieve business targets and foster stronger partnerships.
  • Generating Periodic Reports.
  • Create comprehensive reports detailing partnership progress, outcomes, and potential areas for improvement.
  • Provide data-driven insights to inform decision-making and refine partnership strategies. 

Job Requirements

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Work experience: Minimum 8 years
  • Demonstrated experience in relationship management, business development, or partnership building
  • Strong communication skills and presentation skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities
  • Proficiency in generating and interpreting reports
  • Collaborative team player with the capacity to work across departments
  • Necessitates travel to different states
