Job Summary
The Sales & Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Group Strategy & Alliances and is responsible for creating marketing strategies, conducting competitive analysis, and organising business development activities, including web marketing, to enhance the company's brand and drive student enrollment and retention.
Job Duties
The job functions and responsibilities are inclusive but not limited to the following:
Business Development & General Marketing
- Explore and develop marketing strategies and plans for existing and new markets.
- Study competitors' information, understand industry trends, develop strategies for new market segments, and propose business operations shifts.
- Monitor and execute lead nurturing activities to sustain higher conversion to enrolments.
- Meet regularly with centre heads and counsellors to address marketing-related issues and build teamwork.
- Coordinate marketing activities to increase sales of the Company’s products and services.
- Compile monthly statistics, analyse and make comparisons on past statistics and forecasts.
- Work towards the fulfilment of Company KPIs and enrolment goals.
- Sustain an overall positive team spirit and morale for productivity and effectiveness in all of the department’s endeavours.
Web Marketing & Communications
- Manage and coordinate ELS’ websites, search engine and social media platforms to maximise external exposure, improve online enquiries, constantly update news and events and develop competitions for online users.
- Manage online marketing work following the marketing plan determined by the department head.
- Support helpdesk, business associates & email enquiries regarding ELS programmes, procedures and student services.
- Prepare web statistics and reports for web strategies and decision-making.
- Perform copywriting for internal and external communications.
- Develop marketing collaterals for print and web materials.
Branding & Events
- Visit school counsellors, organise school talks, attend school exhibitions, collect student data, maintain effective communications with schools and carry out related outreach activities to create awareness among students.
- Network and leverage relationships with schools to promote the ELS brand, products and services and build long-term partnership projects.
- Organise exhibitions, conferences and other events.
- Oversee ELS’ branding through media coverage.
Auxiliary
- Undertake any other projects or work assignments as assigned by Management.
- Plan and promote the Holiday English Camp for International/Malaysian students.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Business with a major in Marketing, Management or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of working experience, preferably in the education industry.
Strong English language proficiency is required.
