Fees paid to ELS are not refundable except in the circumstances set out in items 2 – 5 below. Refund requests must be made to ELS in writing are subject to the following conditions:
- All administrative fees are non-refundable. These include: Application Fee, Registration Fee, Placement Test Fee, Visa Processing Fee, Airport Clearance & Pickup Fee and EMGS Fee.
- Cancellation 14 days or more before the course commencement date: ELS will impose a charge of 4 weeks’ worth of Course Fees (inclusive of Tuition Fee, Assessment Fee, Resource Fee, Books & Materials Fee) and an Administrative Fee of RM 300 (about USD 80).
- Cancellation less than 14 days before the course commencement date: ELS will impose a charge of 8 weeks’ worth of Course Fees (inclusive of Tuition Fee, Assessment Fee, Resource Fee, Books & Materials Fee) and an Administrative Fee of RM 300 (about USD 80).
- Cancellation after the course commencement date: There shall be no refund of fees paid. However, if the reason for cancellation is a serious illness that can be proven by a valid medical report, ELS will consider a pro-rated refund of Course Fees (inclusive of Tuition Fee, Assessment Fee, Resource Fee, Books & Materials Fee), minus an Administrative Fee of RM 300 (about USD 80). The pro-rated refund will be calculated based on the number of 4-week sessions enrolled.
- Cancellation when the student visa application is rejected after full payment of ELS fees: ELS will consider a pro-rated refund of Course Fees (inclusive of Tuition Fee, Assessment Fee, Resource Fee, Books & Materials Fee), minus an Administrative Fee of RM 300 (about USD 80). The pro-rated refund will be calculated based on the number of 4-week sessions enrolled.
- In all cases of suspension and expulsion from ELS due to noncompliance with the ELS Student Code of Conduct, there shall be no refund of fees paid.
- Students whose visas are cancelled because of unsatisfactory attendance are not entitled to any refunds.
- Refunds are not transferable and will be made to the original payers only i.e. the student.
- Refunds will be made within 14 business days from the refund application date unless delayed by banking and regulatory issues or other unforeseen circumstances.
