ELS: First English Language Centre in Malaysia to Receive the International NEAS Accreditation

KUALA LUMPUR, 26th March 2019 – ELS Malaysia is now an internationally accredited institution with all three of its centres recently certified by the National ELT Accreditation Scheme (NEAS) from Australia.ELS Malaysia is the first institution in Malaysia to receive an endorsement from NEAS. Before, the only South East Asian ELT centres that NEAS had endorsed were in Cambodia, Indonesia, Singapore and Vietnam.

During the APAIE 2019 conference at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Mr Patrick Pheasant, CEO of NEAS presented the accreditation certificate to ELS Malaysia’s Executive Director, Mr Sean Chee.NEAS is a globally-recognised body that provides quality assurance monitoring and accreditation of English Language Teaching (ELT) providers. NEAS endorses more than 200 ELT centres across Australia, South East Asia and the Middle East.

The NEAS accreditation is a recognition of ELS Malaysia’s commitment to upholding standards in academic quality, student management and support services. NEAS assessed ELS Malaysia’s centres in Subang Jaya, Johor Bahru and UPM, Serdang on seven Quality Areas: (1) Teaching, Learning & Assessment, (2) The Student Experience, (3) Resources & Facilities, (4) Administration, Management & Staffing, (5) Promotion & Student Recruitment, (6) Welfare of Students Aged Under 18 Years, and (7) Strategy, Risk & Governance.
